Sam is a versatile, talented singer; he has performed for Opera North in Songs at the Years End, the commission which marked the anniversary of the end of the miners strike. He has performed oratorio solos around Yorkshire and, with his chamber choir Chorus natus est, around the country.
Sam also has a love of folk music and has performed in folk clubs and at folk festivals across the country. When he supported Harvey Andrews at The Grove Inn Folk Club in Leeds Harvey emailed to say ‘Sam Dunkley gets to the heart of the lyrics he sings… so will you’
Sam also sings with Bare Faced Cheek and Funks Sake, two highly regarded Leeds based covers bands.
He has performed in musicals, touring pantomime and review shows and has taken solos shows to Edinburgh and Buxton Fringe Festivals.
